Not just beauty items! Something of an insight of the stores I frequent most when I go shopping I suppose.

1. Serendipity soap by Lush.

I don't think I ever go shopping in my home town and don't include a visit to Lush. The staff in my local store (Lush Bury) are so lovely and helpful, and I love pretty much every product I've tried from there (which I probably mentioned in my last post). I'm really into lavender scents at the moment, so our hand soap is currently Serendipity (I use shower gels in the shower). It feels really gentle on my skin, which is great because I have such sensitive skin, and in winter its sensitivity is only heightened.

2. Notebooks and journals.

Journals are one of those things I just have to buy. I have so many I haven't even written in because I don't want to spoil them, I could probably write an entire blog post on them alone.

I got a set of three Moleskine narrow ruled notebooks (cannot pass up a narrow ruled notebook!) with brown 'envelope coloured' covers. I already had a set of red ones, and the two colours more or less matched our wedding stationery colour scheme. I had just re-purposed a jar that we'd used to hold our bookmark wedding favours as a pen/pencil pot for my desk, and just wanted everything to match. (I'm still in the process of perfecting my desk space).

The second journal purchase (given that there were three in the first set) is also a Moleskine journal - an Alice in Wonderland limited edition design, apparently. I'd been seeing them around for a while, and I finally caved and bought one. I'm so glad I did, because it's so beautiful on the inside (it was shrink wrapped so you could only see the cover in store). I've always loved Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass so I thought it was perfect.

The third is I think a Waterstones design. It was just too cute to not buy!

Waterstones is another one of those stores I visit almost every time I'm in town and I could spend (and have spent) quite literally hours in there.

The design was called 'Owl at the Party' and I just loved it, so now it lives on my desk.

3. Cath Kidston Duck Intarsia jumper.

I am on a personal mission to buy anything and everything duck. They're adorable. So when I saw this online in clearance, I had to order it. Conveniently, I also wanted a few more layering pieces for our upcoming holiday in Scotland, which seemed as good an excuse as any to definitely purchase it. I've actually had a lot of compliments about it as well, which is always nice.

And on the subject of ducks...

4. Duck push pins from Paperchase.

I dont even have a pinboard, I just wanted some duck stationery items. They also had a pretty cute chicken shaped stapler. Now had it have been a duck, I'd have got it.

Is this duck thing ridiculous? I don't even care.
